OH MY!!! Yesterday was a day for the books. This Pregnancy Brain that some of you have talked about before is very real! I've always been responsible and I'm not one to lose things. But lately, I'm so dang flighty. I think I need a babysitter!
Yesterday morning when I was ready to leave out for work, I couldn't find my keys. I always hook my keys on the side of my purse. Always. I had time to spare so I started looking for them. I knew I had them the night before but couldn't remember anything from there. For 20+ minutes I looked everywhere inside and outside. Nothing. I had to get a friend to come get me for work.
When I got home, part 2 of the key search started. An hour later, and no luck, I called Dustin (who was working over) freaking out. He called Lander's and it was going to be over $100 plus I would have to tow my car there for them to program a new key. Insane! Then he remembered that when he got on the Interstate this morning he heard a loud noise like something hitting his back window. The interstate is 15 minutes from our house so I was thinking no way could it have been my keys. NO WAY! But I was thinking it was possible that I laid them on his toolbox or bumper while unloading my car. So I decided to walk all the way to the end of the neighborhood to look since they clearly would have fallen off on the side of the road if that were the case. No luck again.
About 5 minutes after I get home, Dustin calls and FOUND MY KEYS! You'll never believe this. Apparently I did in fact lay them on his toolbox and that was the sound he heard this morning. But, somehow, they stayed on the toolbox the whole 15 minute drive to the interstate and fell between his truck toolbox and the cab. Instead of falling to the ground, they hit the gas tank just right and stayed there his entire drive to work. UNREAL! Y'all, it was a total miracle!
And, just because it's never just one thing that goes wrong on bad days, one of my parents called me after school. One of my stinker boys cut her daughter's hair today. How in the world my assistant or I didn't know about it is beyond me. And now, I have to deal what that mess today.
Is it the weekend yet??
Geez!

That is CRAZY!!! I can't believe they didn't fall off the gas tank. God was looking out for you girly!!!
Oh, wow! That sounds like something I would do, except my keys would be on the side of the interstate. :)
That's crazy, but I'm glad your keys were found!
Pregnancy brain is VERY real, and mommy brain is even worse~ One of my old co-workers told me she used to be an intelligent woman. Then she had a baby and lost her mind. It definitely gets better, but I forget sooooo many things now. It's bad.
I hope the parents aren't too upset with you. Yes it sucks that some boy cut their daughter's hair, and I would be less than pleased if that happened to my kid, but these things happen.
That is crazy!!! Luckily they landed safely on his gas tank!!!
