Today's topic is teacher must haves.
Here are a few things I MUST HAVE:
1. Coffee. I need at least one good cup to wake me up for those 20 bright-eyed, bushy tailed preschoolers.
2. Good books and CD's. We do a lot of stories and a lot of signing and dancing.
3. Sharpies. Lots of them. I need the fat ones, regular ones, and the fine point ones in every single color imaginable.
4. Dry erase markers. My kids use them way more than me. They are perfect for teaching writing to a preschooler who doesn't have good fine motor skills yet.
5. Camera. I take tons of pictures. We make the cutest scrapbooks for them at the end of the year and I also make the Preschool slideshow for our end of the year party. The parents look forward to this every year.
6. Assistant. Teaching preschool means I have a full time assistant in my classroom at all times. I honestly would be lost without her. She is the best!!
7. Teacher friends. It is absolutely imperative that you make good friends with some of your coworkers. Only other teachers can truly understand another frustrated teacher. Some of my best friends are my teacher friends. I wouldn't make it without them!

Great list! Assistants and teacher friends are the best :)
Great list! I wish 4th grade teachers could have assistants too!
God bless you for being a preschool teacher. You must have patience in abundance! I don't think I could be with 20 kids all day!
Loved your list! So nice that you have an assistant!!
I forgot about dry erase markers! They're my best friend!
I am with you on the assistant front. I couldn't live without mine! Oh my! We had to make our dry erase markers off limit by the end of the school year because the kids were using them all up!
I agree with Kerbi, so nice to have an assistant. You got a good one too! Sweet sweet lady! I am so glad to work with you and vent to you just about daily! ha,I should have added Dr Jean CD's, you know I couldn't live without her in my classroom :0)
