Honeymoon

This post is ridiculously picture heavy, but I had a hard time leaving things out considering I took near 1,000 pictures. 

We stayed at the Excellence Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We had a swim up suite on the cascade pool that had 2 waterfalls. Everything was all inclusive meaning we didn't pay a dime once we got there. They wait on you hand and foot with any kind of food or drink you can imagine. The gratuities and all activities were also included. I definitely recommend going this route. All inclusive is the way to vacation for sure!!

This is the view from the plane of one of the Caribbean islands. You can tell how pretty the water is even from 30,000 feet.

Excellence Resort, Punta Cana

The resort property was massive. There was a large ecological park on the premises that took up the whole front part.

main entrance to the resort...nothing was closed in. There were no doors, everything was just open like this in the whole resort. The only doors were the ones at your room.

There were lots of honemooners on this trip so you saw lots of these banners. This is our room.

Right down the beach was a local flea market. All the shops were named after American stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Macy's, and Sears. It was so funny!

One of the days we went on an excursion to Saona Island. We took a speed boat like the one pictured to the island and came back on a catamaran. The island was absolutely gorgeous! Food and drinks were also all inclusive on the boats and the island. 

The beaches are perfect. The sand is much different than I'm used to in Florida. It wasn't gritty. It was powdery and real fluffy. I loved it! The water was a clear turquoise color. I've never seen anything so pretty before!

Dustin and I enjoyed the sun. The weather was around 85 all week with no humidity. It was so nice!

Behind us is the catamaran we rode back in. It was like a party boat!

We relaxed on the front of the catamaran. You can see from the picture that the water is only about 3 feet below us. 

We enjoyed getting dressed up for dinner every night. There were 7 restaurants, so we got to go to a different one each night. The food and service was incredible!!

Every night after dinner there was an hour long show. We went every night and each show was just as good as the next. 

This show was a circus type performance.

This show resembled a Vegas performance.

Dustin and I had a blast. It was really like a dream! I've never been so pampered and spoiled in one week like that. I definitely recommend going all inclusive. There's just nothing like it!!
