I went this morning to see the neurologist for the headaches I've been having lately. He prescribed me a daily preventative and a new pain medicine. I start the preventative tonight, so hopefully it will keep me from getting so many headaches. None would be excellent!
I have an EEG scheduled tomorrow and a MRI scheduled Wednesday. I've never had either done before, so I don't really know what to expect.
Kinda nervous!!

They are both painless. Basically they are checking for nerve damage with the EEG. They hook you up and send little electric signals through your body - I promise you won't feel much.
The MRI you just have to lay very still. They will tell you what to do - when not to swallow etc etc.... you will be okay! So glad they are taking good care of you!

I've only had an MRI before - its a little uncomfortable ONLY because its a pretty small space that they have you in during the scan, but if you just close your eyes and relax it's not bad at all.
I really hope the medications they give you work!

I had an MRI done on my knee. It wasn't that bad just loud. Keep us posted on what you find out!
I had some really bad headaches in December and I had a preventative prescribed to me, and I have not had one since. The MRI will not be bad at all, I promise! Will be thinking about you this week!
Those tests shouldn't make you too nervous. The EEG means you'll get goop on your head while they stick nodes on there to read your brainwaves - rather harmless. The MRI isn't bad, but is a little iffy if you're slightly claustrophobic, like I am. But both are done pretty quickly!
