Remember this post when I was trying to convince Dustin to get my Christmas decorations from the attic? Well he did on Tuesday night. I totally forgot how much I have. I have 2 trees to do. I almost finished one. My big one in the den is up and fluffed but the stand is messed up so I can't decorate it yet. I started on some of the decorations around the house, but haven't finished because I haven't been feeling that well this week. I'm sure I'll finish this weekend. It's just all so overwhelming!

Now, I'm trying to decide whether I want to bother with lights outside. It's more an issue on whether I want to spend the money on them. Dustin said he would do them if I got them, but I haven't decided yet. What do y'all think??

Melissa.... girl, I know you're a gal who loves her Christmas and Christmas decorations. And with that being said though, all this isn't meant to be stressful or overwhelming. So if the Christmas lights are going to add stress, then just forgo them and focus on what you've got now.
And maybe when you have everything done and you find you have time and the money to go with the lights, then do so.
Just don't be stressed :)
Im scared to even get my stuff down. I have about 10 big tubs of lights, ornaments, and other decorations. It takes me days to get it all together! But its always so worth it!
I say maybe not. Put a wreath on the door. Ha!
We want to do outside lights too, but after we took measurements and priced out lights, it is going to cost us at least $100. YUCK. So I don't know what we're going to do. It's probably worth the money.
We only put lights on the very front of our house last year and wrapped lighted garland around the porch. It wasn't very expensive and it still was pretty! :)
Ohhhh I LOVE lights outside, but I don't think I could do it myself. But since you have such a willing partner in crime I say go for it :)
Take it one day at a time with the decorating... you still have lots of time!
I agree with Lauren Kelly. Decorating for the holidays should be enjoyable, not stressful. Maybe work with the stuff you have first and see how you feel afterward.
Go to garden ridge on Summer. Lights are waaaaay cheaper there!!!
I hope you are feeling better!
Dustin is SUCH a good man!!! :)
I think you should definitely do a few lights outside especially since you have a sweet someone to put them up ;)
Lights outside for sure! Always fun to see! I am going ot put lights on one of my trees! :-)
I think you will be glad you did! You still have plenty of time to think about it! Be sure to post pics if you do put them up!!!

YAY for Christmas!!Love your new blog look!
I say put up all the indoor stuff first and see how tired yall are. It will look good but it can be pricey and as long as you have a wreath up, it will look fine. I also love your new blog layout!
