very busy

I am so exhausted! The end of a school year is exciting but BUSY!! This is especially true if you're like me and you take on everything there is to take on. Sometimes, I like having all the responsibilities at school and other times, I wish someone else would just step up. But, most times, I would rather just do things myself! Jodi, the other preschool teacher, is just like me. So, between the 2 of us, we never stop! For example, this week alone I have made the school wide calendar and newsletter for May, I do our grade level newsletter and calendar, I maintain the school's web page, I update the slide show that the whole school sees daily as a part of our morning meeting/ announcements. To top it all off, Jodi and I have been planning the zoo field trip. Doesn't sound that bad? We are planning it for THE ENTIRE SCHOOL!! If you've never planned a field trip for 500+ people, you seriously have no idea! We had t-shirts made for everyone going on the trip. The shirts were supposed to be here Monday morning. When did they show up? Tuesday at the end of the day. Yesterday, Jodi and I spent the entire day sorting, organizing, and passing out shirts. When I say entire day, I mean up until 15 minutes before dismissal. The field trip is tomorrow. Please pray it doesn't rain! Next Thursday morning, my babies all graduate! I only have 4 more full days with them. Crazy! But, good news...summer break is right around the corner! Man, I'm soooo ready!!!

BTW, thank you to everyone who congratulated Dustin! We are still on a high! We went out and celebrated again Tuesday. Since it was Cinco de Mayo, we met my dad at On the Border. They had a huge outdoor party with a band. It was alot of fun!!

Wow..you definitely need a vacation after all of that. Sometimes if you want it done right then you have to do it yourself though...i completely understand.

Congrats to Dustin!
