Just another day...yeah right!!

This morning was hilarious! I so wish I would have taken pictures, but at the time it was not funny! I was going to make copies on the copier in my hall which just happens to be right by my classroom. Anyway, it wouldn't let me log in and was saying there was a paper jam. Same story, different day. If it's not a some jam, it's out of paper. Anyway, I proceeded to open all the dumb doors it was telling me until I found the jam. It was indeed a jam! It was crumbled up in the craziest kind of way in a small area of the machine that no one would be able to get through. About that time, Jodi (the other Preschool teacher) come out of her room and says, "Is it still jammed"? Now how does she know this? Ah, because she is the nerd that jammed it!! So, we spend the next 50 minutes (yes, I said 50 minutes) "working" on the dumb thing. We used screwdrivers and the whole 9 years to attempt to fix it, but was left with a machine that really looks worse than when we found it. And we have a screw left over that we're not sure where it goes. Needless to say, the repair man is coming and we have no copies. Improvise is the name of the game in teaching, so we went with Plan B! But, what's even better is what I found when I came back into my classroom. So picture worthy, but of course, once again, I didn't take one. My assistant had the children completely engaged in Circle Time. That's what's so awesome about Preschool! I can get completely distracted and off task and there's always my assistant to save the day! She's fabulous and I know not all Preschool teachers are near as lucky!!

On another note, I had a very trying time with one of my "over active/ hard headed" preschoolers today. I'm not gonna get into because that would be completely inappropriate for me to talk about online, but it was rough. It involved him being hard headed and mean and me getting hurt (not badly). Anyway, I guess I need to pray for this child more, because Lord knows he needs it!

Also, tomorrow I get observed! Normally, I don't get nervous, but our new Principal just started this month and I haven't had time to really feel her out yet. I don't know what to expect or how it will go. Just be thinking about me tomorrow around 10:30. Thanks!!
